On July 16, Tian Yulong, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), stated that to actively address the shortage of automotive chip supply, the MIIT has established a working group for the promotion and application of automotive semiconductors. Targeted measures have been formulated to boost the supply capacity of automotive chips, and certain positive results have been achieved. Going forward, the MIIT will adopt a combination of short-term and long-term measures, strengthen the connection between supply and demand, actively support alternative applications, enhance manufacturing capabilities, and maintain the stable and healthy development of the automotive industry.
